BEFORE TOWING TRAILER, MAKE CERTAIN:
-Tires are inflated to pressure indicated on tire.
-Tongue jack (if so equipped) is retracted.
-Load is within trailer capacity and distributed properly to maintain correct tongue weight.
-All pins and latches are safely secured.
-Load is secured to trailer at the front and rear.
IMPORTANT TRAILER TIPS:
-Never load or unload your trailer that is not properly coupled to the towing vehicle.
-Never over load your trailer.
-Make certain the coupler hitch and trailer ball are the same size and the coupler is properly latched.
-Verify the safety chains are criss-crossed under the tongue of the trailer and properly latched to the towing vehicle.
-Confirm the trailer brakes (if so equipped) are properly adjusted and break away is attached to the towing vehicle.
WHEEL LUGS:
-On first trip, tighten wheel lugs to manufacturer\'s specifications at start and at 10, 25, and 50 miles.
-Check wheel lugs before each trip, after excessive braking and following winter storage.
